Intermittent Fasting
The human body is designed to deal with fasting. It did not evolve to have food every hour of the day. Fasting triggers hormonal changes that are beneficial for your body. When you fast, insulin levels drop, allowing your cells to release stored fat and use it more effectively. Fasting also stimulates a housekeeping process called “autophagy.” With no food around to process, your cells can use that spare time to remove damaged or misfolded proteins. With our system of intermittent fasting and calorie restriction, fasting enables your body to fulfill this important task.
It’s important to note that fasting is not the same as starvation. The fast or cleanse we use is nutritionally supported so you are not in starvation mode.
Otherwise stop skipping meals and
lose belly fat. Let’s start with that which seems backwards. In order to lose weight, you have to EAT, not starve yourself. Why? Skipping meals tricks your body into thinking it is in “starvation mode,” thereby slowing down your metabolism in order to preserve energy for the future. Science has learned that skipping meals plays into belly fat you store and could even pave the way to insulin resistance down the line.
